It's been a while...what's up guys?
Hey guys it's been a while since I've come on here...How's everyone doing?
Just did some browsing around and it looks like brushless Baja's are here, which is good to see. :yipi: Anyway, I've picked up a new hobby (photography) and as you know, it's one of those super expensive hobbies (like this one). Seems like I have a knack for picking all the wallet-destroying hobbies. :whip: I haven't driven an RC in probably 2 years now so I'm toying with the idea of simplifying my garage down to 1, possibly 2 cars. I was just curious what you guys think is a fair price if I were to sell these: First is a CRT.5 with a prototype RCM chassis in 7075 (I was the one that designed it initially, remember? - so it's really "my" chassis and the fisrt gen RCM one was based off it), Lehner 1930/7, Mamba Max, CC BEC, and Hitec 945MG Servo. It also has a Spektrum SR3500 Micro Receiver. It's got some of the OFNA aftermarket goodies like the carbon and aluminum plates and stuff. Lunsford titanium linkages too. Second is a 1/16 BL Revo with a Neu 1112 Motor, Mamba Max, CC BEC, and Spektrum SR3500 Micro Rx. Has the Traxxas goodies like the red anodized pushrods and toe-links, Ti-Ni shock shafts and teflon bodies and what not. The reason I ask is I haven't really kept up with the times so I don't know what it's worth, and I don't want to let it go for nothing just cause I think it's depreciated that much! |
I dont think either of those setups will have depreciated over & above the normal new > used value level ( baring in mind current financial climate )- mini erevo is popular as it;s a fairly new truck, crt.5s still get discussed a fair bit too. I think you'd have more luck parting them out to some extent though- sell the radio, motor, esc & servo separately, then the actual vehicles as rollers; if people want suitable electronics they can get them from you too as such in a separate sale.
Wouldnt like to guess on actual prices though, might be worth checking ebay completed listings for the mini erevo, and larger sites like rcu or rctech etc on the other items to get a general feel. |
i just got accosted by the loch ness monster. He said he'd give you $3.fiddy

If anything I just want to know how much the Lehner is worth... |
Photography is cool man. Cost can add really quick. Which camera do you use?
I just got a new DSLR myself. It's a Sony A580L and has everything I need. And as I have Minolta SLR cameras, all my old lenses fit on the Sony. So I had no need to blow money on new lenses. My lenses from the mid 90's Minolta still work great. Plenty of cheap lenses on ebay too. Nice thing with today's DSLR, is that you don't need to spend big money on lenses anymore. f/1.7 is the lowest I'll go for a 50mm lens as I wouldn't be able to tell a difference with f/1.4, which cost 3 times as much. Plus I shoot mostly in Jpeg, so that 16mb pixel rating in raw mode barely gets touched. My friends with Nikon and Canon's are impressed with what the Sony can do for it's price range. I finally got to convince one to use Cokin filters and stop relying on Photoshop for effects. Anyways is that lehner the high amp version? |
No, the Lehner is the regular version as far as I know.
I have a Canon 7D with a Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.0 OS HSM Macro, a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 HSM, and a Canon 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 IS USM. It's 18mp and 8FPS and I shoot almost exclusively in RAW. I do a lot of landscape stuff and periodically take pictures of my dad riding his street bikes at the track. |
I interested in the High Amp Lehners. I just have to wait for my brother to drive to Germany and get me a 1950 Lehner. He can't get it now as he needs to have snow tires to be able to drive there, due to some law there.
Nice camera stuff man. Got any landscape pics to share? I recently got into Macro. I have the need to take pics of mosquito butts. I'm using my wife's old MF lenses with my AF lenses with the use of Macro Couplers. The Anti shake feature in the Sony body works really well, making me look like pro shooting macro free handed. Here are a few freehand pics with a 17 dollar ebay lens. I used a macro coupler in the first one and the rest +3 cokin closeup lens. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._2775223_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._4049443_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._6631086_n.jpg |
Here's my Flickr that has a few of my shots. I've been really lax about uploading to it, so there's not too many photos. I think it also has on timelapse.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/50582539@N08/ I do a lot of timelapse but I haven't had a chance to actually compile the photos into the actual video. I'm behind about 5 timelapses right now. |
Awesome shots man.
