Eagle tree question.

Just wondering if anyone knows the minimum voltage for an Eagle tree V3? I tried to do a run with my single cell lipo in my carpet car but it didn't pick up anything. Didn't try it again so I'm not sure if it was a mistake on my part or if it needs a higher minimum voltage. I tried finding some info on their website but had no luck, they only seem to give the max voltage

"Logs pack current to +/- 100 amps (150 amps with MPRV4-LEADS-150) and voltage from about 5 volts to 80 volts"

That is for the V4, but I assume the V3 probably has same minimum, even though it has a lower maximum.

EDIT: Checked the EagleTree V3 page on HobbyKing and that says 4.5V, so 4.5-5.0V sounds about right.

So basically 4 NiXX cells up to the max value. The brains run off USB power (5v) in live mode, so it makes sense they would need close to that value when running in a vehicle.

If you can't log using 1s lipo, you may be able to hook a 5v power source to where the USB would plug in. In effect, running in Live mode without being actually live.

I was wondering about that. I'll see if it reads anything in actual live mode first
