little/cheap motor for 1/8 buggy??

I'm finding out that not having mec. brakes/biasing is a very fast way to get your ______ handed to you on a tight indoor track...

all of the parts are incoming, but I still need a smaller/lighter motor than the tekin 1400kv that I would normally use...

It needs to be 1300-1900kv

somthing like a 1412 would be perfect, but neu wants $200ish:surprised:

You should check with jhautz. I was looking at the 810e thread on rctech and he was running the Castle 1410 on 3s.

I'm liking the leopard motor... does anyone have any experience with them??

is the tacon motor the same thing? and are all of these just fiago nock offs that will get uber hot?

EDIT: an older medusa motor would be perfect I think...

The Leopard and Tacon are the same, both 4 pole and basically castle knockoffs. Should run a bit cooler than the fiegao's. Might want to check Castle for their 14 series SCT motors, I'm unsure of availible kv's though.

all of the castle SCT motors are too high of a kv:neutral:

it looks like mike still has a few medusa motors laying around...
