New Leopard 1/8 4068-3D 2950Kv motor, any feedbacks??

Hi guys I need to prepare my EMugen MBX6 for a tarmac race, I'd like to use on of these two Leopard motors: the well known 4065/2Y 2700Kv or the new 4068-3D 2950Kv motor.

-Is there anyone that knows the new 4068-3D 2950Kv one??
-What would you suggest me for a 1/8-1/10 tarmac track???

Tnx in advance

The leopard motors seem good, so thats not a bad choice, but I wouldn't go over 2500kv if I were you. How many cells is this goign to be run on? What esc?

For pure speed/power if you need both motor and esc I'd go for a MMM/2650kv castle neu combo. That combo on 6s has been used by members here to get close to, most likely over, 100mph.

Cheaper alternative would be toro esc/2560kv combo, but I have no idea if you could trust that on 6s. But for 4s its probably good.

Hi Thomas,
I'll use MambaMaxPro as Esc + 4S 40/90C 4000Mah Nanotech prop.

The 2700kv leopard is going to be a rocket-machine on 4s, I wouldn't go higher in kv than that though.

Actually it's my same idea, in using the motor intensely inside a tarmac track it keeps higher temps and going up in rpms will be a "straight drag race" matter, isn't it??

the 4065 is a great motor .......... I think the 4068 will be the same ......... or better ;)

Very curious on any feedback about the motor :eyes:

Leopard make a massive range of kvs and motor sizes of the same basic motor design, so you may have to broaden your search to find someone using the exact same model you are researching...

Thanks ... I have find a table for 4068 motor . the 4068/3d max power around 2000w ... less than 4068/2y ...
