MMM brushed, which wire to float?
 

Hi guys,

I'm going to drive a brushed motor with my MMM, reversing needed. The manual says to leave the white wire floating but the MMM has NO WIRE at the motor side, just 3 gold 6.5mm sockets. So which is which? How does the red/black/white wires all corresponded on the MMM? :neutral:

If understand the question correctly he's asking where to put the motor wires as the MMM only have three identical sockets without any marking on them. My guess, note guess, would be to put the two wires from the motor in the outer sockets.

I've got my brushless motor connected with the red and black wires in the outer sockets and the white one in the middle.

In the hard-wired version of the MMM, I believe the white wire is in the middle, and the red and black wires mirror the positions of the input power wires. You might want to give CC a call to verify...

Okay I tried last night plugging the motor wires into the two outer sockets, leaving the one in the middle floating. When I heard the ringing I knew it worked. Thanks guys. :)

This is not a rc app. I moded my boat trolling motor(electric outboard engine for 2~4 passenger slow boat) with a MMM. It was equiped a switch resistor speed control which I thought was a junk. I put the MMM in together with a servo tester. Will see how it does this weekend, so far bench test has shown a muuuuuch smoother control.
