Integy REVO Brushless Conversion Mount
 

Anyone tried it or heard anything about it? I'm sick of my homemade mount because it keeps stripping spurs and Mike's conversion is out of stock right now.

I personally would stay away from 99% of Integy stuff, especially something that is under stress like a motor mount.

Have you tried figuring out why your homemade mount strips spurs? Chances are, it's because the chassis "flap" the motor mount attaches tends to flex. Have you tried using the stock brace that attaches to the bulks? I'm talking about this part. It may need to be modded to work, but really helps reduce flexing of the chassis. This might help a little too.

If you still want Mike's out of stock mount, maybe contact him. I'm sure demand for that part has declined since the BL revo came out, but he might make another run if he knows someone wants one.

The integy mount seems very similar to the teknorc mount ( & some other brand I cant remember the name of right now )- another clone as it were...

I think it has to do with that and that the pinion isn't quite parallel with the spur because the bracket I bought was not quite 90 degrees. I think the whole thing moves slightly whenever I hit something or take a jump. Probably bends the mount some too. I need some machined aluminum or steel. The stupid pinion always comes loose and slides down the shaft too. I was just going to buy a 40t steel Integy spur and the Integy mount, though I know their molded aluminum isn't worth much. I think I'd probably have to put spacers on that mount too because it won't put the motor close enough to the spur.

I've seen other clones on eBay for about $50. I can't seem to find anything decent for that price tho. That's the problem with Mike's quality mount; nobody ever sells it -.-

Judging by your pics, the absence of the lower brace (the first link I posted) is your problem. I had the same kind of issues on my conversion way back until I modded the brace to fit.

Ah ok. I used to have it setup with the brace and that worked pretty good until it cracked. If my friend hadn't taken it apart, I doubt I would have noticed the crack.

I bought a new brace the other day, so I'll try to find some better angled metal to cut up with a dremel and mount to the new brace. Any suggestions for what to use? Preferably something cheap from Lowes or Home Depot.

Your other problem is that you're only using 2 screws to hold the mount, so it can rock side to side throwing off your mesh. I'd use all four on the stock nitro mount to attach your mount.

The only aluminum Lowes and Home Depot sells is either thin flashing or extruded aluminum angle. Some of the thicker (1/4") aluminum angle might work, gotta see how much it flexes.

Blue grooves was the one I ran and it was a heavy duty thick piece of motor mount.

Not sure if they still make it though.

and at a decent price, though idk what shipping is because Firefox says the connection is untrusted when I try to checkout. I can't seem to find ANY reviews of that mount or even pictures of it mounted on a REVO. Does it just go on top of the stock motor mount? It says it works "in conjunction with any other brand conversion already installed." Not sure if that means to hold the batteries and ESC down or if you need some other hardware to mount it to the REVO.
Anyone used this before?

Cool that looks pretty nice. I think I'll try to order one if their shipping isn't $20. Is that a 1515? I have a 1518 1800kv in mine geared 25/36 at the moment (hobby shop never has 38t or 40t spurs) and it's wicked fast on 4s and stupid on 6s, though it gets pretty warm. I'm thinking I'll go down to an 18t pinion and 40t spur. Does that seem right for my setup? (transmission locked in 2nd standard ratio (RRP steel gear))

Oh and are you using a steel spur? I'm considering getting one just to never have to replace it again, though I know I'll have to get hardened pinions too.
