my brother just got a warrior 9920 and a fegio C 7xl and 12 cells for stock e-maxx and with a 72 spur and 15 tooth pinion the motor ran 150 degrees and esc 105, does that sound right, the truck ran about 32 mph, i'd like to see around 38mph will the motor get much hotter and what is too hot, i had a c-50 and it always ran really hot and it eventually smoked my hacker esc,

also the esc did not come with a manuel and it only has foward and brakes no reverse, and does it have drive profiles

I think you have it geared to low. Step the gearing up some. 18 66 should be ok.

thanks i new somthing wasnt right, my bro had a 68 tooth on it but i only had 15 tooth pinion and it didnt mesh so i took my 72 off my truck to get his rollin

Oh ok. Well the thing is it is not putting enough strain on motor and it is freewinding. For brushless that causes heat build up fast. That is one reason for esc to stay cool.
