Alternative Motor for CRT.5?

Hello, I've been out of the r/c scene for the last couple years and things have come a long way. I've been searching through the threads for a motor to use in a CRT.5 and most of you suggest the Medusa, but it's very hard to find. I have an old castle 4600kv and that got a little warm for my liking.

I have purchased the ext chassis/larger tires and now just looking for a great motor but nothing crazy like the castle 1500 series. I was thinking of the Tekin SC4X motors either 3400 or 4000kv on 2S. Any help is appreciated...thanks!

Castle SCT System - Nice 4 pole 3800kv...

Only gripe I can think of for the SCT system is the 1/8" shaft, other than that, it'd be perfect, and I'm sure it's still amazing! I was lucky enough to find someone selling a medusa at a good price, 5mm shaft.

But since they are hard to find, get the SCT combo, if you don't need the ESC, sell it off and have a pretty cheap awesome motor.

I've been running the MMP/2400kv on 3s and its been great so far, Plenty of power and cool temps.

I run the sct 3800kv combo in my crt .5 and the motor runs great in it and never breaks 130f. I have it geared for 50mph with 1/10 buggy tires and the standard length chassis.
