If you are considering Castle's new HPI baja conversion kit...all I can say is do it.. Watch my HPI baja 5t video below. Conversion kit fits all 5b, 5t, and 5st vehicles. 54.4mph & more torque than you will know what to do with.

How is the drivetrain on the Baja 5t handleling it?

Very impressive in that the motor and batteries create enough power to jerk such a large vehicle up onto two wheels at ease, but is that power useable beyond the wheelie trick? I'mean, do you think you could enter 1/5-scale race with it and fair well?

The power curve is 100% linear...I am jabbing the throttle to make the front come up... It can accelerate as smooth as you would want it to. i would suspect it would do very well in a race.....as long as the race is not over 20 minutes.....haha.

Drive train is 100% stock and have done quite a bit of research with another member who has had Major modified Gas engines..including twins...and he said he has never had transmission issues and runs nothing but stock drivetrains....and his trucks weight 5-8lbs more. He was confident the stock tranny and drive train would hold. So far so good! crossing my fingers.

I'd like to see how my brushless 1/5 scale fairs against yours. Not sure of the top speed, but i suspect it is somewhere near 40-45 mph. However 4wd and a lighter chassis should make for a more agile platform. It jumps really well.

Incredible! Looks and handles like a 1/8 scale in the vid. Hard to believe that it's a massive 1/5 scale. :O

What is the power output of the CC 2028 motor? CC claims 10 HP range, but what is the rated wattage?

I have hit 6800 watts according to some data points in the log. It really does handle well. Makes driving my 5t fun again...no lag time in acceleration.

Is that the new Redcat 4wd 1/5 scale? I like that!

Do you think a 2028 motor would fit in the motor mount? Man, I am eyeballing one of those Redcat 4wd!

The max motor space is 100mm x 50mm +/- ...it's very tight & I can't see a way to get a 2028 into the space without significant mods

The 1717 will fit however
