Just ordered a TRF 801XT from Tamiya for $229.99
Get 'em while they last, I'm not sure how many they got. I only ordered one, didn't want to be greedy. I had to send it home since I'm leaving here in about a week.
Note: These are scratch and dent but aren't damaged. Also they are the "older" kits that don't have the performance package. This package is the newer arms, CVDs, and shock mounts. The arms and CVDs narrow the truggy 6mm and the shock mounts are updated as one piece. I ordered 2 sets (4 total) shock mounts since I heard the older ones are prone to breaking. I'm not worried about the width right now since it's only 6mm and there aren't many tracks to race up in WA. https://www.tamiyausa.com/product/it...uct-id=49497SD My D8T will be for sale soon. |
Thats pretty cool! I didnt know Tamiya made something this nice

It's a very nice truggy, Tamiya did a good job for their first 1/8 scale appearance. Well worth this price for sure.

Definitely a good deal. Might be a good idea to stock up on parts though. Sales like this usually hint towards discontinuing the vehicle (although this is scratch and dent it still could be a sign). And since Tamiya's buggy and truggy went under the radar I kind of assume that's the case. Wouldn't be a bad idea to buy two and have a whole kit for spares. Still only cost you as much as a single competing 1/8 vehicle.

From what I can tell, parts will still be available and they're not discontinuing their 1/8 line. These were scratch and dent boxes and have the older style arms and CVDs. Their regular undamaged kits are still regular price and have the performance package.
