question for those of you running the Nano Tech batts
looking at the 45-90c 5s 5k batts for my truggy. I noticed that the 35-70c are also avail so my question is this...are the 45-90c that much better than the 35-70c ones? I know these batts are supposed to be better all around but I would like to hear from some real users of them

As good as my Hyperion G3 VX's
Edit; I've got the 6500 Hyperions so I can offer a direct comparison but they are very good |
i have a 4s 45c nano-tech pack and it my most demanding setup, it will finish lukewarm while my other packs tend to get hot. be careful of the added punch. i stripped a diff for the first time in my buggy when i first ran that pack. the 45c nano packs are the most potent packs i have seen so far.

unless you have money to burn get the cheaper ones. They will work fine. Numbers are for bench racing.

The short time I had my 6000mAh 2s Turnigy Nanotechs, they put out PLENTY of power for my Savage Flux. I don't see the point in spending $ on 60C output Lipos unless your trying to prove something other then please sponsorships.

i have the 6000mah 25c 5s(2+3) in my savage xl flux and its plenty, so in normal car setups there is no need for 45c(thouh this depend on the pack size and power demand) with nano 6000 mah the runtime is so long that in the end its almost boring.
in my truggy i use nano 6s 5000 45c (and normal turnigy 30c), those hardcore racers often use a smaller pack like 45c 3000mha becouse of weight |
I think they are a step above the 40c's, but it's hard waiting for the longer shipping.
I use the smaller cells 3000 & 1800 in 1/10 to take advantage of the higher C ratings. The 45-90c allow a charge rate of 8c, where the lower 35-70c allow 5c. Besides the charge rate and availability, I haven't noticed much difference in the two. |
Thanks all for the responses. I am leaning towards the 35c anyway. The shipping is the only issue I have...the last time I ordered from HK it took over a month to get them. We shall see

They might have some in the USA warehouse, or just select one of the faster shipping methods..
