Neu Energy batt question
 

I feel like a noob but I guess I really just getting old. I have a Neu energy 5s1p battery. That every time I try to charge it I get an "over volt" message. Is that because I am trying to charge at 7.4 volts instead over 18.5?

That would do it. What charger are you using? Are ou balance charging? I'm guessing your not using a hyperion charger and balancing cause it wouldn't let you do such a thing. My belief is to buy it right and buy it once. I have only used hyperion chargers and stand by them. They don't let you make mistakes, if something isn't right it doesn't charge the battery.

It is an Electri-fly triton 2 charger. I can set it to what ever i need. Should I charge a 5s at 18.5 or 7.4? I balance with an Astro blinky. It says the cells are balanced. It has been over a year since I have charged this battery. I cannot remember the settings.

If your charging a 5s battery you need to charge it as a 5s battery at 18.5 volts, I'm sorry but this just seems common sense to me
