Motor connections on a 18.97
the problem I have is that the small 3.5mm plugs keep comming out from the speedo after landing from jumps.
I have replaced the cages on the plugs but they still slip out in the end. It is now a couple of years old so I guess there has been some wear to the tubes. Q: Is it possible to solder the wires in, or will the heat damage something else on the board?? |
Considering schulzes critical point of view, that would be byebye warrantee. (they have got a heck of an excuse then..)
You can make some kind of construction that avoids this though. just think and tinker Cab! |
The schulze 3.5mm plugs seem to fit a bit tighter than fiegaos,i know i have to have my motor wires the right way round at the moment or they're a bit loose at the controller(schulze on one end fiegaos on the other)

I had melted one of the plugs on the esc.
I soldered my directly in the tube. I have no problems with the esc so far. If you had it for a couple years. I have serious doubts it is still under warranty. I would not try to get it to hot though. If you get my meaning. |
Did it ever have a warranty?? :010:
I get your point about the heat though, I have solved it temporally with the trusted zip ties. I have noticed some arcing on the plug too, it will have to be done soon :028: |
use no more than a 40watt iron and be carefull not to spash solder, but it should be cool to attach direct
|
Don't use a too big iron indeed.
I thought this was about soldering cells, my original post can be ignored.. |
