Steering problems
Hi guys I am having a problem with the steering on my truggy. I am using a hitec HS-7954TH for steering and when the car is stationary there is plenty of force to turn the wheels, but when the car is moving it seems it can't turn the wheels and the car handling suffers. I am running a 1521 1Y and mamba XL on 6s and am using the internal bec to power the servo. Surely you would think that there is enough power there to turn the wheels at any speed and load. Does anyone have an answer???????

The ratings are more than good enough for turning your wheels on an MT, let alone a truggy- I would say either try a glitch buster cap on the rx, or maybe you will have to run an external BEC.
I'm assuming there isnt some weird issue with the epa or channel mixing ofcourse ( more throttle > less steering etc ). |
At first i thought it might have been the servo saver being too loose, but when i tightened it up nothing changed. I spoke to some of the local guys at my LHS and they seem to agree on the internal bec not having enough amps to push the servo. I will try a high torque 6.0v servo when i get back from work and if that doesnt work i will try a small external bec/receiver pack.
