Offset wheel hubs for SC8E
I've been looking to make my SC8E a little bit wider and I've been thinking about using some offset wheel hubs.
Does anyone have any experience with these and which ones would you recommend using? I'm looking to move all four wheels out 1/2"-1" on each side. I'm making the SC8E into more of an offroad vehicle. Thanks for the help, Nick |
Just get the hubs from a RC8T

Those look perfect, I'm going to order a set and I'll let you know how they work and look.
Thanks for the help, Nick |
So I had a chance to take a few pictures of my SC8E with the RC8T hubs. The truck gained 1.5" of total width.
The truck is running 3.2 Badlands cut and stretched onto 3.8 truggy rims. Let me know what you think. http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...y92/RC/195.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...y92/RC/199.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...y92/RC/201.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...y92/RC/204.jpg Nick |
I ended up selling the SC8e. I could never get anything but a set of buggy wheels to work correctly on the SC8e. It was a fun truck and ran great, but just not for me.

Too narrow and too much weight up the top IMO.
On the left of this pic is my rc8 with hub extensions and smallish 1/8 truggy wheels (130mm diameter). I like it! http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/pict...&pictureid=929 |

It was fun while it lasted. I bought it as a rtr cheap with the MMM and 2200combo. Then I traded the SC8e roller for my Ten-T roller. Now all of the electronics are going in the Ten-T. It should be interesting. I can't wait for spring. What is the truck on the right? Nick |
