T-Maxx 3.3 Bulkheads
I have a newer E-Maxx with RPM front control arms and I was wondering if anyone is using the 3.3 grey bulkheads from the new T-Maxx? My LHS says they will fit just like the stock one did but when I went to install them it seems like the bottom mouting holes will not line up and seem very tight.
Thanks for the help, Nick |
welcome Nick!
I thought they fitted too, i ordered them too, i will let you know in a couple of days, once i get them, okay? |
I'm going to try to go to my local hobby store today and I might have some info for you later on today or tomorrow. Thanks for the reply and the welcome.

welcome to the forums
i too heard that the gray ones worked with the e-maxx or atleast they are supposed to. |
From what i have heard, there a direct replacement for the old ones. In that case there shouldnt be a problem, however, maybe they require the new skids?

I have them in my emaxx with no prblems. I like how they are held together with 4 screws instead of 3. I am also using the 3.3 knuckles cvds and turnbuckles. It seems pretty beefy. Revo-Maxx!

The 3.3 bulkheads did work out fine. I am having one more problem though. I bought a set of Traxxas titanium hinge pins that are held in with C-clips. There are two lengths and the shorter length is to short to come through the other side. Does anyone have any experience with this problem?
Thanks for the help guys, Nick |
There should be 3 different lengths I think. If im not mistaken, the front lowers are longer than the rear lower, although, your problem might be that the new 3.3 bulks require longer hingepins due to a revised design.

That's odd, i thought they really are a direct replacement, if you look at the exploded views from Traxxas, you'll see that the partnumber ending with an X fits too (which is the aluminum part)

Thanks guys for the help. This is another NOOB mistake on my part. I didnt realize there was three different sizes. This is my first time taking apart the bulkheads and I didnt realize. I put the other short ones in and they work perfectly.
Sorry for the stupid questions, but I'm learning as I go. Thanks for the help, Nick |
No problem Nastety. You won't mix up these screws again.. :p
