incaseing esc in epoxy ?

If i incase an esc in epoxy (leaving the coolingfins uncovered by epoxy !! ) will the esc overheat ? i was thinking of making an "icecube" ish block of epoxy around the circuboards to make4 them water proof !

I was at the dunes the fan got stuck with sand... i used the temp gun and the ESC was 70 C°.

I swapped batteries and the BEC stopped working ... The ESC still work!! The bec generates 5v but as soon as you move the steering it drops out..

Hm but if the fan broke from all the sand then it can't be the epoxy who made it stop working right?

Well did it work ?
.

Yes works, I go to these modifications myself
there are certainly pros and cons.

For better heat dissipation in the ESC strive to change thermal interface and features to improve heat dissipation.

Holmes does the same with the BRXLs with great effect

I used liquid electrical tape on one of mine - coated everything up to the heat sink - I used it in the snow a few times last winter with good results:
