Mmm & 1717

Hi Guys,

Just got my LST-XXLe up and running....the pull away seems very bad, it needs quite alot of trigger to get going and then feels as if it gets a sudden pull away even though im trying to pull away smoothly. top end its a monster!!!!
its on a 5s Hyperion 35c LiPo.

ESC is/was fine with the 2200kv in my 8T 2.0e

Is the MMM used? the previous owner might have set the throttle curve to ease the power on through the range of the trigger.

nick8155 09.13.2011 06:19 PM

Ive had it since new, set everything back to default.

Make sure the throttle endpoints on your transmitter are set to max and recalibrate the Tx to the esc. My only other guess is you're geared pretty high and its cogging at low speed then it rips once past that.

my mmm 1717 in my muggy is a monster, maybe see if your mesh is to tight or if you have something hanging up in the drivetrain

What version of the firmware you have in it?
1.24 to 1.26 work without an issue.
I have a 1717 too in my maxx.
newer version have some issue.

I have put the esc back in my Truggy now with the 2200 motor and it does the same thing and my other MMM doesn't with either of the motors.

Can Castle enlighten me? Could I send it back for warranty?

It pulls away ok then feels like it pulses as I accelerate.

suicideneil 11.21.2011 09:26 PM

What firmware version is loaded onto the esc? Can we get a screen shot or list of the other settings that are currently entered?

_paralyzed_ 11.22.2011 01:40 AM

blown phase....

nuz69 11.22.2011 05:59 AM

Try again with the 1.24 firmware.

What version of the MMM is this? Is it the kind with the bullet connectors on the PCB? It could just be some connectors not making good contact which increases resistance.

nick8155 11.30.2011 03:15 PM

The motor terminals have the female bullet connectors, the battery wires are soldered to the board. Tried changing the firmware and it's the same, my other MMM works just fine and dead smooth :yipi:
So thinking I should just send it back to get checked out.....
