Will this work in my F8T Pro?
Hi again!!
I got me an F8T pro, and was wondering if my castle 2650 will run in it? Also what kind of pinion would it need to keep things cool? I am using 2S 5000mAh x2 for the gogo |
Sorry forgot to mention it's the caster f8 truggy.

Does the motor fit? If you have the truggy + motor you can try. The specs call for a 36mm motor here:
http://casterracingusa.com/product.php?productid=484 so I don't know if it will fit. Also, the 2650kv is a high kv for a truggy - you should calculate your top speed and see if you can get an appropriate pinion to fit. |
Thanks for that, i do have the motor and truggy here and I know it fits, but I don't want my 2650 to go to waste as I know it's a stomping motor but at the same time I don't want to blow it up. I guess I could try a low pinion to start with?

Yes, smaller pinion to start. You can put your numbers in here and see if you can gear for around 40mph top speed:
http://www.scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/top_speed.html That's where I'd start. Edit: And since its designed as a buggy motor, you'll need to keep an eye on the temps, in the heavier truggy. |
I've got essentially this same truggy. Runs like a bat. Outta hell on 6s using a 2200kv castle motor. I wouldn't go with the buggy motor. I'd put some quality rims n tires on though. Like me you'll have a blowout for sure with that stock setup.
