1 and done on a 1512 1800kv motor

First off, I'd like to say that I've been a big fan of CC for 2 years now. I've run their 2200 MMM setup in my truggy and have been pretty happy with it. Last racing season I bought the rebuild kit after my magnet blew up and it still goes strong. I also bought a 1512/1.5Y 1800kv to play with longer run times. The other day I decided to drop it in and practice with it. Ran great, power was good and I was going to test run times on the next race day. Well, the next time I get to the track, I drop in my batteries, and go to run and all I get is sputter and some smoke out of the 1512. I have no idea where my receipt is and I just don't want to deal with it.

I pulled the shaft and everything appears to look ok, not sure what happened to it but I know I didn't overheat it.

The worse part was I went to remove the back cover to check the wires and put my wrench right through the back cover. Not even sure if this motor can be serviced or if it is worth it.

If you bought it from castle's motor clearance you don't have to worry about dealing with that warranty, it never had one.
