My second G4 build

Hi Guys

Just want to show you my newest build. Based on a G4 chassis, with lots of other cool stuff from UE, GARC, FLM, Lunsford, Castle, Robinson, Proline etc.

Very nice Maxx you got there... looks like a beast! be sure to get some alignment done before you run too hard though :)...

I used the standard transmission from a E-maxx brushless edition, with the Traxxas center diff and Robinson racing gen3 slipper.

Changed the build a bit, as I thought it would be a pitty to use some of the nice parts for bashing, and I really need some more drivingtime in stead of just building. So I took some of the parts and put on a brand ned E-maxx roller, and sold the UE arms, knuckles etc. and the bulkheads. It was my intension to sell the GARC diff cases with the FLM/Traxxas diffs as well, but ended up putting them back in the truck. I also wanted to sell the G4, but I am glad I didn't. Only need to add some Traxxas cvd's, to not make the driveshafts touch the Powerstrokes, so if any body have a set they want to sell, please let me know. Her are a link with some pictures as it looks now minus the diff cases.

Sweet!
How does the stock tires do as grip wise go?

I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but will bring some info, when the weather gets a bit better here in Denmark.

Glad you decided to keep it. You KNOW it was the right decision. :)

Put a thick protecting foil on the underside of the G4 chassis, that way it won't get too scratched. Something like this would be cool: http://www.carbonmods.co.uk/Products...CMFLEXCFS.aspx

I'm planning for a custom single skid solution in 3mm carbon fiber for the G4 chassis - you are welcome to join in. More about that later. :)

I know

Looking forward to see the center skid.

Ended up selling almost the full truck, so now I am in the process of building on an Losi Aftershock bashingmachine again.

Amazing how many of us put soooo much time, money and effort into building these trucks and soon after selling them just to start another project. I have done it so I can sure relate. For me the build is the most pleasurable. Sure running them is great to but, the build time is was keeps me sane and happy

The truck in the first sets of pics was surely amazing

Klausen 02.24.2012 02:20 AM

+1 on that. The thrill of finding parts, waiting for them and finally build the truck, have happened a few times
