need some help with esc..

I am running a set-up with a BK 12020 Esc I have followed the instructions in how to set-up esc. I understand the set-up...
1. turning on esc first beep 5 seconds
2. Move full throttle then after 5 seconds another beep then
3. move to full brake then
4. 5seconds double beep set-up is done.
So what do I do if I am still at the full throttle after 5 seconds and don't here a beep..
Some help!!:002:

Did you pull the red jumper?

Sylvester 05.06.2006 11:18 AM

Im sure he did, since its in programming mode...

Romster 05.06.2006 11:24 AM

Yes i pulled the red and black jumpier.
Do I have to make any adjustments to my transmitter?

cspurlock 05.06.2006 11:31 AM

It would be a good idea to have them at 100% EPA and 0 your trim out. Strange though, mine works fine as you described.

Romster 05.06.2006 11:38 AM

Tried it EPA 100% to 140%...
Still not working.. Still on first beep.

cspurlock 05.06.2006 11:44 AM

email Mike and see if he can help you. He has proven to be very willing to try and help me out when I had problems.

Romster 05.06.2006 11:47 AM

OK I do it right now.
thanks,

Sylvester, I wasnt sure because I have had mine beep when the jumper wasn't, ect. I have had some weird stuff happen when i tried to program it.

Romster 05.06.2006 12:15 PM

Squeeforever, But eventually your Esc worked.
Did it do the same thing as my esc.
What did you do?

Romster 05.06.2006 12:29 PM

I got it set-up.
I checked my transmitter Throttle and it was in Reverse mode and I programed it back to Normal throttle. An I got all the beeps. So I put back the red jumpier.
So when I turn on the Esc and press throttle the Esc makes these weired sounds and the motor is not turning.
what should I do..

squeeforever 05.06.2006 12:52 PM

Try and reprogram it again. Also, check all your connections on the motor, ect. I found mine was a loose solder joint on the motor and it wasnt really appearent. I had to check them with pliers and finally found it. And yes, it does work now.

Romster 05.06.2006 01:35 PM

This is Soooo weird.
When Lehner motor is connected to Esc it does not spin freely.
When Lehner motor is disconnected from Esc is spins freely.
So I tried another motor.. A feiago same thing So I know it's not the motor.
I played with the connection configuration two connections it would spin freely and then 3rd connection it would just slightly tighten up. So weird..........
What should I do??

Mine did that - the programming was intermittent to say the least...

Try fiddling with channel reverses - that worked on mine sometimes

Guys thank you so much for all your help finally it works.
IT's ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Squeeforever thank you. It did the trick I notice I solder the wrong blue wire to the other wire. I guess the 3pairs of blue wire can get a little confusing at times. Thanks again Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:027:
