2650 motor timing?

hey guys i just wanted to know the best motor timing for speed runs and drag racing.please explain technically exactly what the motor does at low timing and why its good or bad.also what does high timing do?for me high timing gave me outrageous wheel rev/spin.

I can't really get into the science of the matter as I simply don't know but I have tried playing with timing a fair bit. With some motors the difference is very miniscule but on some performance increases are obvious. Thing is regardless of whether I got a performance increase I always ended up with hotter everything after jacking up the timing. Motor it self, ESC and the batts were all considerably hotter so proceed with caution. Maybe wait till one of the other more knowledgeable guys chimes in.
