Stuttering, sudden acceleration at low speed, MMP...
Hey guys,
I'm quite sure some of you have gone through similar issues with their Mamba Max Pro when it comes to that lag of power when you apply full throttle and the motor takes a few hundreds of a micro sencond befor it unleashes it's true strength. Well, I'm having similar delimma plus this stuttering behaviour when you gradually apply throttle to the motor and the sudden rev up of the motor at 15% of throttle application. What steps have you taken to over come such problems? Some people suggested the use of an external BEC or use older firmware with the controller. I need some feedback and suggestions. I'm using a Mamba Max Pro + LMT 1930/5 + TP G6 3s 3850mah 65C lipo pack in a 2wd buggy, and yes, a Futaba 4PKS. Your help is greatly appreciated!!! |
What firmware are you currently running?
Downgrading to v1.24 usually does the trick, otherwise an extra bank of caps on the input leads helps sometimes. An external BEC would only really help if it was the servo that was drawing too much current and causing the esc to reset due to voltage 'brown out'- a 'glitch-buster' capacitor plugged into the rx would be the first option to solve that issue before buying a BEC. Might also be worth trying the torque control feature to reduce the current spike during acceleration, though that option is only available past v1.24 firmware ( try 'em all besides v1.28 which is a known esc borker... ). |
Thanks alot neil!!! I downloaded the 1.24 version and the esc is working like the old one. Which is very good, of course.
