Telemetry On Older MMMv3??

Just wondering with the release of this new traxxas extreme esc (which looks fantastic BTW and i love the iphone integration) is there any plans to maybe make a adaption for the older ESC's to follow suit??? i have 8 MMMv3 and replacing all of them would be.......well NOT CHEAP and this added feature on the new ESC is just the cherry on top of a already awesome product.

Any chance we could see something like this added to our already awsome MMMv3????

(if someone asked this before sorry in advance for the repost)

I think the telemetry is more a part of the radio system rather than the ESC...

Some data is transmitted from the ESC to the receiver...

Point is though, you still need the new traxxas radio & iPoo + traxxas link live App in order to make use of the telemetry stream from the esc- the esc just requires it's firmware updating to the correct version which castle said they are releasing fairly soon.

Actually, we have had data logging capability in our aircraft ESCS from some time. http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...oenix_ice.html The Mamba LX and now the Extreme also have this. This is more than a firmware update, it also requires a much more powerful microprocessor with a lot more memory. As we port this the surface ESCS it will require a different ESC, this can be done in firmware alone. Once the ESC is capable of data logging and there is a way to port the data to a receiver you have telemetry.

If I understood Bernie correctly, then the MMM Xl is looking even better for a 35 volt X0-1. Whats the new Traxxas 1717 maximum rpm rating then?

I guess there will be allot of 1/5 hpi's and 1/5 Losi's running Traxxas's radio systems next year.

I don't see others ignoring this feature for too long though. I would imagine one of the big radio manufacturers will jump on this too if it takes off.

True, I just hope the Traxxas radio is halfway decent until then.

The XL shouldn't communicate with the traxxas radio, unless you are saying, you'll get a roller and putting the XL in.

Bernie, Patrick or anyone at Castle, Can the monster extreme reply telemetry on the castle graph viewer? If not, Will the true next gen monster use the graph viewer like the xl can now?

I still have questions also Cjr. If don't work I have other radio systems if I need a 35v X01.
