What do you get when your water heater matrix gives out...
2" of water in your basement :(
Got most of it out now - Ripped up and threw out all the carpet... Sadly my workshop is also in my basement and I had a bunch of rc projects and elecs on the ground... Bummer... |
any elc. should still be good, providing they weren't on at the time....
|
Yeah, rinse them out with clean de-ionised water and let them air dry, should be good to go.
|
Its all in rice...

I've never had good luck with rice, it leaves all of the impurities of the water behind. I've always used isopropal(rubbing) alcohol. |
Wow bummer! Never tried the rice myself but the de-ionized water has worked well for me in the past. You should look into the smaller more efficient instant water heaters. Seen a few on homes where we replaced their backyard poles and the owners swore by them. They are also about the size of a large car hauler bag. Good luck with your fiasco man sorry to hear about the bad luck.

Bummer about your mishap man.
|
Sorry to hear about that Chris, I know first hand that this really blows.
We had to clean out my parents basement once after coming home from vacation. This is why I will be replacing my water heater this year before the expiration date expires. How old was your unit? Nick |
Bummer.
