REVO/E-REVO Chassis Question

I'm considering a brushless conversion for my trusty Revo 3.3. I have a NEU 1515 and Castle Mamba Monster available for the swap but debating: "A" - RCM Mount and TEKNO RC accessories to pull of the swap
"B" - Traxxas E-Revo Chassis & Trans

Does anyone know if the new Traxxas "E-REVO" composite chassis interchanges with the REVO 3.3 Nitro chassis? I imagine that the new "E-REVO" transmission would be needed to facilitate the swap

Thoughts and comments guys?

Would you want the 2 speed on the Erevo?
If it was me, I would probably go with an Erevo chassis and trans.

the erevo tranny is bulletproof.

No need for the two speed...at least I don't think so. My question is if I disassemble my Revo 3.3, remove the chassis & trans.....can I bolt in the E-Revo chassis and trans? Is it a direct swap?

The other big issue is what battery packs do I want to (or need) to run? I have a 2200Kv NEU 1515. I'm thinking 4S is absolute minimum and 5 or 6 S would be preferred. I have not researched it but can the E-Revo chassis hold two 3s packs? Looks like the slots would only hold 2s. I know the Techno or RCM/Techno conversion could support the 5 or 6 s pack but the trans needs the single speed mod. (btw...can't find the OOMP mod parts anywhere....)

Yep, the nitro revo front & rear ends will bolt straight onto the erevo chassis, seen it done many times before. There are ofcourse extra parts you need like the erevo tranny & the center skid for the chassis, but you won't have to bodge anything to make the front & reat ends fit as such.

With the 1515 2200kv motor, 4s lipo is fine for 40-45mph, 5-6s lipo for more like 50-60mph+; I guess it depends how fast you want to go really, but 4s is plenty for bashing around with lots of torque ( ~22-24/68 gearing, or 18-20/54 ish ).

The erevo chassis can take 3s packs certainly- some packs are a tighter fit than others so you have to check dimensions ( and remove the plastic clips inside the battery trays ):

There is one definite mod to make to the erevo chassis though, ans that is to stiffen up the rear end and reduce the amount it flexes when landing jumps or cartwheels:

Has anyone attempted to bolt the E-Revo transmission to a nitro chassis yet? I'm just wondering if there is enough room in the transmission cutout area to mod it to fit...

Yep, I've seen it done a couple times at least on this very forum:

Thanks gentlemen! As always the braintrust that is RC-M comes through!

I appreciate everyone's input and Neil for taking the time to show the dimensions in the photo.
