Slipperential parts update

I have the old slipperential and the new one (bought used from a forum member) It seems that some of the parts are not the same. The front and back cover is different. The new one is thicker. Aparat from the covers, I am not sure what else Mike has changed. Can you please let us know what are the changes and the reason behind them?

When we upgraded the gaskets, we modified the endcaps slightly to compensate for the extra gasket thickness - the new blue gaskets are much thicker, so it affected the gear mesh inside.

Thanks for the clarification Mike. So meaning that if I have the old version and I want to change the gasket, then I have to change the endcaps as well? I just opened my old slipperential and threw away the gasket as they were kind of worn out.

Yes, if you use the newer gaskets, it is recommended that you also use new endcaps. It has been over a year(maybe 2 years) since the update, so you may be due for some fresh parts by now anyways. :)
