Bricked XL2???

So I was testing different Firmwares on my new XL2 tonight which has a total of less than 5 minutes on it, when my Castle link software popped up a dialog box of death stating "the update couldn't finish, disconnect and reconnect esc" well it won't work!!! No lights flash on the Castle link, just stays red! The led on the esc flashes once then a quick flash over and over...

I restarted computer, tried running the esc with batteries and NO TONES SOUND!!! NO LED either!!

Please help.........I really need my XL2!!

Have you tried connecting a battery to it? My XL2 wouldn't read on the computer connected just via USB, I had to have a battery pack on it.

In addition to fastbaja5b's suggestion I would try another USB cable and port.

I just got home and hook my battery to it, but no luck...same thing. Plus this wouldn't make since as I haven't had to do this before.

I tried different USB cable and different laptop...no dice.

All the esc does is flash the green led twice, then a short flicker, then repeats. I tried to call CC support, but their already closed. Will try again tomorrow.

Well, spoke to Tom at CC tech support today and he felt like it's the ESC...so it's a waiting game for my replacement to arrive, none in stock at the moment...he also checked on my replacement MMMV3 which is also on backorder...

**Do you have the red wire removed?

I tried it without the red wire with battery attached. It doesn't matter...the ESC is dead.
