Losi 5ive-T Conversion
Mike, I was wondering if you have any plans on making a conversion kit for the 5ive-T? Seems like it would be a simple scaling up of your current 8ight kit, except for maybe a different battery layout.
My hopes is Losi puts out a no motor/electronics kit so I could save a few bucks and put in a nice brushless conversion. From everything I've seen so far I'm pretty sure your kit would be better. Seems to me that the 2028 Castle motor is plenty to push this truck around too. Thanks. |
He has one in the shop under conversion - I would expect the mounts up in days.

Nice, what is the battery layout?

i started a thread on it here
http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31009 this beast drives so good i have no idea how fast its going. with a 17 pinion it seemed a little slow. but brians calculator said 46 MPH. perfect speed for the track. |
Looks really good. Saving up and hoping for a roller kit.
|
a roller is not going to happen ( says losi) BUT the parts u dont need can be sold for 3 to 4 hundred.
|
This might be a stupid question . Is the losi mount in production yet ?
|
I would like to see, forward mounted motor mount along with a RX box combo, and saddle configuration, sort of like the serpent cobra and one to fit Neu motors aswell

Does anyone know the final dimensions of the battery trays? I ordered a kit and want to get some batteries lined up.
|
95mm wide by 180mm long in the battery compartment, Nick. The tray should fit a pair of most 4s packs. :)
|
Thanks Mike, I'm looking forward to getting the kit.

hobby king 4s 8000 's are working very well for me. i wouldnt go less than 8000 mah. pick up some 6MM bullets also cause its easier to run 2 packs in series with bullets. 55$ each isnt too bad. i havnt tried billion dollars 65C type packs so i cant compare.

I'm lusting after a set of 7700 mah 65c lipos, last time I had a truck on 8s 20c lipos were the highest avalable. I'm building this truck from parts, I hope to have it together within a month or so.
