I know where this came from, or why I should say- some guys were busted a few months back for planning to fly an r/c plane packed with explosives into some government building or other.

Sad thing is this knee-jerk reaction is all too common- every time someone miss-uses an item or uses it to commit a crime, the bored housewives all start a campaign to have the item banned and the government caves in.

What if I use a real plane or car to crash into a building, will the government ban them too? :sarcastic:

I saw this coming, even before I saw something about it on TV a few years back. One question though, what could they possibly use paintball equipment for? I dont see any way that could be used/modified and become a terrorist threat.

Yeah right. Some n00b walks into a hobby shop and wants to buy a ton of expensive stuff the owner is going to be thinking "payday", not 9/11.

Esp if they are paying in cash. My LHS refused to take checks due to all the deadbeats and would often give cash discounts to get around CC fees as well as tax "advantages."

Wow. A testament to the feeble mindedness of the leaders of this country. "please do our job for us even though we will still rape you of tax dollars and rights in the name of the cause". Yeah the system works, for some..... And let's not even start with the taxes, just finished mine and would like to put my foot in obamas a$$. Know it's not ENTIRLEY his fault but let's face it, he has racked up more national deficit than all the previous pres. combined and at this point the president is basically a scape goat. God bless America but keep church and state seperate. Sorry for the rant but I work hard for my money and damn if I'm gonna give it away.

Those figures don't count for inflation... Just look up how much the 'new deal' cost, and compare to Obama's stimulus package.
