RCM Universal Diff/Motor Mount & Neu 1527
I'm wondering if the Universal Mount accepts the m4 motor screws the 1527 uses as well as fits the small lip around the shaft/ bearing on the front of the motor, the 1527 will not sit flush against the mount I intended to use on this project:

Yes on the bearing boss but no on the M4 screws - the universal mount is machined for m3 motor attachment screws. That said...I could make it compatible for m4 screws if I know in advance that it is needed. I will be doing a batch of these this week most likely. :-)

I don't think you'll get better service anywhere else. Get Mike's mount and you'll have a solid item that Mike backs up 100%.

A couple more questions;
1) in the picture in the store I don't see mounting threads/holes drilled on the feet of the mount, is this the way it is shipped? 2) if it does have mounting threads in the feet does the mount come with a template for drilling holes in the chassis to attach it? Thanks |
Yes, the mount pieces are tapped m3 on the bottom for mounting and a drill template is available(distance of the two uprights may vary with the chosen diff, however).

Thanks Mike, I'll take one modified to accept the m4 mounting screws of the Neu 1527. :)
Should I just pay in the store or send payment another way? Quote:

YOu can go ahead and order through the store - just leave a note regarding the M4 motor mounting screws and I will modify one for you. :-)
