i found a reversible esc for 30$ will it work with a brushless motor??? and is that a good deal?

A brushed esc WILL NOT work with a brushless motor. There completely different and you can't skimp on a brushless system. If you want brushless its gonna cost ya.

To be fair, the cheapest controllers are going to run you around $150 at best, it goes up from there.

Honestly, its $130 but thats for a 7020 which isn't recommended for most of the motors you would choose for a E-Maxx.
