Deans on a Castle Mamba XL?

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I just saw this pic on the new Baja Flux 5b showing a deans connector on the Mamba XL. Also, HPI mentions a 480kv 2028 motor on the product page: http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/107684/

Deans plugs are great connectors, regardless of what you may have heard. I have used them on my Baja without issue - in fact years ago I had the HV boat esc on my Baja and ran it on 10s and 12s without any issues at all - a single deans plug soldered to the large double power leads of the ESC. A single poor solder joint will cause much more trouble than the Deans plug(rated at 50-75 amps continuous on paper I guess - every bit as good as the wire soldered to it as far as resistance and power handling capacity goes).

The 480kv is a typo.

I'm running deans on my 5b with no issues.

Really? I don't know how many amps this system pulls in a Baja, but it's just not something I would do.

I even use a deans series adapter available from castle. I feel them often and they never get warm so they are performing flawlessly.
