UE Shrine...
ohhhh......Sweet baby Jesus :oh:
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d7...ls/null-74.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d7...ls/null-73.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d7...ls/null-72.jpg Just came accross these pics in a thread over on the Beat Your Truck forum... And I have to ask......did I just discover where UE Parts go to die????? I can't help but be a little upset that all those rare parts are just hanging on a wall somewhere, when there are so many of us that would love to have and enjoy them. I know a fair amount of what's in these pictures is not UE, but it does appear that a good majority of it is. I see at least 4 lightning chassis, a few VBS-T, and a slew of setback, racerx, ext arms, etc...:oh: just wow. I can totally understand a shelf queen or two, but this??....I mean really?? I hope these picture's don't belong to anyone on here...and if so, I mean no disrespect at all, I just couldn't help but share. More power to the guy I guess, for being able to afford this kind of shrine...I mean, collection  -Travis |
What the estimated value of what's hanging in that room? Wonder if they have good insurance.

Jeeez I'd kill for just one of those trucks, let alone, all ten or so!
|
he is on this forum. his name on here is bosox06 (mike). if you want anything, he will sell you. dont hesitate to buy from him as he is a good guy and would be willing to deal with you.
i believe its like 15-20k on that wall, with out all the michael jordan stuff next to it. |
Really!? I've seen that username around here a few times, and on the UE forum as well. I believe it was him that was building the Military anodized & laser etched UE truck?
As I said, I meant no disrespect at all. Just saddened me a little at first when I saw all those parts hanging there...while a lot of us hunt for them like crazy :intello: Definitely makes for some crazy pictures though! -Travis |
yeah. hes the one. i was watching that build on the ue forum for a while, but it eventually kinda faded away. i wished my wall looked like that. if you think thats alot. wait until he breaks out the big containers full of alot of nip parts. he posted a few pics of a couple boxes before.

In your original post you make it sound like he isn't enjoying them up on the wall. I'm sure every time he goes into the room he appreciates the trucks/parts. You don't have to be flinging your expensive stuff through the air to appreciate them! (I know I do, but some people don't!)
Just look at museums, a bunch of cool stuff just sitting around to be looked at... |
WOW, OMG, and ALL that other stuff !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats what Im talking about. He's a collector.
Yeah, easy 20k + all day long I'm thinking. I like this "Temple" much better than the video that pop up several years ago of the dude that walked thru his garage/basement filming rows and rows and rows and rows of RC cars and trucks. I'm prettty sure I saw that here at RCM.... |

Like I said, I meant no disrespect at all. I simply brought the pics over to share with everyone, as I was in total awe of all the cool stuff in one room, and at the time I was a little disappointed that someone would have so many rare parts, and (seemingly) not use them. But, I do not know what he does with them, nor do I know if he actually uses them from time to time, so I admitted that his collection was very cool (out of pure jealousy...as I would love to have such a collection) and of course it is anyone's right to buy and keep whatever they please  Hopefully he sees this thread at some point, as it should be a compliment to him that we all admire his fine collection! -Travis |
Bosox
Yea Mike is a nice guy for sure. I have purchased a few things from him myself, including VBS. He probably has $100K worth of R/C stuff burried in his house, and most of it is UE. He has built some of the most impressive SuperMaxx projects in our hobby. He use to be on UE & RCM daily, but he took ill a couple of years ago and nearly vanished from the R/C net. He still lurks about in here some days, but not like he use to. If you are interested in buying anything from him shoot him a PM and you never know what he may be willing to let go of. When life throws serious medical issues at you the value of material items tends to deminish.

Wow, that's no good. I sure hope he is doing better these days.
