Picked up a OFNA Nexx8 Buggy.

It was hard to resist. Had a good coupon for Towers website, $30 off, and they put the Nexx8 buggy on Easy Pay. So it was REALLY hard to not pick it up.

Supposed to arrive today. But UPS might be laggy due to the winter storm.

I had forgotten just how "on-rails" buggies are, even compared to truggies. Love the out of the box setup on the Nexx8. Was drifting around with it in the snow last night. So much control.

Watching it fling snow everywhere with the badlands was super fun.

Oops. Car arrived and I got it going, but then I went and bought a new car. And had too much fun hooning the new 1:1 car around. New Daily is a 2013 Ford Focus ST, and its is an absolute BLAST to drive.

Currently the Nexx8 is actually decently powered by a Castle 1410/MMP on 4S with some very short gearing. Its not super fast, but actually does well for such a tiny motor. Once my Funds recover a bit from purchasing my new 1:1 car I'm going to be looking into a new motor to fit it.

Bah, been too busy working on the real, full sized cars!

Finally got the right size push-rods after they were back-ordered for a while!

But here's your nakd pics!

And yes, that IS a Castle 1410 3800kv motor running with a MMP ESC on 4S in this thing. And it has zero trouble's moving it. I do however have a small 11t pinion on it.

So the gearing is 11/48. Its decently happy running there.
