Wow over 16,000 views on only one comment you guys are a tough ;)
Well it survived a 8s run no problem. motor and esc stayed cool. Just need to upgrade to a more fitting wheel set for a monster truck. |
Hey that is very cool! Big horsepower. If the trans breaks, and I'm not saying that it will, are you going to install a center diff?
It looks well balanced. Is that a lutach esc? |
Good eye that is lutach 10s 120 amp esc. Had it for a while and never had a problem. I don't think the trans will brake that easy with a properly set slipper and if it does its cheep to fix.
|
Truck looks great. How big is it?
What mph do you have it geared for? On 6s and 8s it must be a Beast. How about some video? Nick |
Yes a video would be great!

Working on some more oics and videos for you guys. Haven't had a lot of time to run it but seems to be durable. 12Lbs8Oz with a 6S 5000mah batt seems pretty light to me. I like the long wheel base of this truck, makes it stable and less prone to wheelie.
|
I like how you mounted the esc to the front tower or so it appears..good idea to help cool it. I saw someone else do this w/a truggy and an RX8 who races and he did it as it kept his esc a lot cooler with the constant airflow
|
Thanks A lot I have a CPU fan that I mount to the front of the shock tower to help cool the ESC but I haven't needed it yet as it is still cold out

Trying the Cen Nemesis wheels and tires on the Losi. Looks like a monster truggy:smile:

Is that the 2sd summit trans? Why not swap the internals for the single speed setup from the brushless emaxx. They must be stronger...
On the other hand, my summit rand the wide ratio 2sp trans and a big outrunner. In low it would break mip driveshafts, and in 2nd it could do backflips. The trans never gave me any issues, and I ran the 4 series swamper tires from rc4wd, they weight twice as much as a std mt tire. Cool setup, must be a beast on 8s. My lst2 on 6s with the 1717 castle motor was crazy fast. |
