OK - one more time...
A few days ago, we went up to a new location in Utah to run the R/C Bullet.
This time the Bullet went 188.87mph (that's over 300Kph)! The chassis adjustments worked very well. This run is backed up with a 182mph pass so, this qualifies for a Guinness record , claims the ROSSA overall record and takes the lead in the 2014 Rossa World RC Speed Championships. http://www.rossa.org.uk/ The wind was a big factor, the track takes a lot of pep work and I'm really pushing the limits of my equipment. The expense is also a factor. Overall, a fun time, nice spending some time with Mak and Tracy, good food and a beautiful State. Looking forward to traveling back and going faster. Here's the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5HJX7CJyOQ http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...ps353a4869.jpg Woo Hoo -- Made Autoblog! http://www.autoblog.com/2014/03/27/1...-record-video/ N |
Good job! :great:
Are you shooting for some specific figure, or just as fast as it will go? Too bad you couldn't find an indoor area long enough and super smooth to avoid any wind factors and friction from rough pavement. BTW, the autoblog link in your sig is dead... |

Nice. It's too bad those articles don't delve into much more detail. It's easy for the uninitiated to think it's just a toy until you see the hardware/materials and know the work involved.

Brain
There is truth to your point. To get the uninitiated's attention now-a-days, it has to be a quick, memorable moment. Good or bad, that's how I see it. It would be reasonable to say, that more uninitiated people in the world have heard of this - R/C car/driver/builder ,than any other in R/C. In the past, I have broadcast detailed hardware/materials information via R/C Magazines, (non R/C) Magazines , websites and even a TV show. This time, details might be available about the R/C Bullet in a year or so. N BTW Thank you for creating the speed calculator! |
I love watching your progress and have for years!! Thanks for posting here for us!!

Stick 2 motors & speedos in the bullet and up the gearing...
Very impressive work though, faster than most real cars can go so people should sit up and take notice to our 'toy car' hobby more often... |
