Battery packs and.....

I need to ask a dumb question guys. i run my 9920 and 10xl, whcih was working good until i put my new chasis in. I was wondering if poorly built battery packs could reduce distance in the system? i can't think of any other reason why i can't go more than twenty feet now. i built my own 8 cell packs and seemed to be good, but new at it so not sure. I have replaced everything!

I am kind of lost. you put a new chassis on truck. Do you lose signal or power at 20 feet. It may be where you have stuff intefering with signal to receiver.

signal. when my truck gets far enough away, about 20 feet, it stops sometimes, other times it goes crazy! Yes, i have an aluminum chasis now. thanks coolhand!

It's your aluminum chassis for sure. Make sure the reciever wire isn't touching it.

If you could put a pic of it up with out body. See if we see something.

I'll send pics tonite if i can. But thinking it is the aluminum chasis. I have an aluminum antenna mount too, this goes into the aluminum chasis, so would it still cause interference? Should i dump the antenna mount too? thanks guys!

yeah that mount might be the problem. get rid of it and make sure the intenna is not toudhing the chassis

Is there a mount I could use that would work? Got a link? thanks!

I use an old T-Maxx reciever box (it has an antenna mount) and it works fine.
