My speed run car

I built this drag race concepts rail about a year or so ago to use as a speed car. A few gearing and motor combinations later this is the results..

That's quick. V nice

Respect.

That must have cost you some time to get it at 139.8!
very, very nice, Fiberglass/carbon made body? Aerodynamics is key. Very smart to use a long arrow shaped dragracer.

thanks guys. Yeah it has taken time to get used to driving 2wd for speed. The body is fiberglass and was my first. I widened the frame on the dragster for my xl2 to fit and the lexan bodies were made for 1.5" wide frame. The body is rough but works well. I would like to try carbon fiber one day with vacuum bagging. I'll post some pics of the car also.

Very nice.

Nice! Those kind of speeds would make me nervous. Good work.

Dr_T 06.29.2015 06:55 PM

Awesome! Also don't think I would have the guts to run it at those speeds on public roads.

Could you post some pics and specs please, and maybe some of the logs of your XL2? I have no ambition to reach your kind of speeds, but I'm just very curious how much Power it takes to do so and what you found to work well, set-up / aerodynamics wise.

Keep up the good work!
