Mamba Monster vs XL2
 

Question...I have an V2 Mamba Monster and an XL2. With the same motor, the Monster Mamba out performs the XL2 at low speed with little to no clogging. Why is this and besides the 8s capability, is there an advantage between the 2. Thanks.

I assume you are using either Firmware 1.24 or 1.45+ on the Mamba Monster?

The firmwares between 1.24 and 1.45 were cogging pretty bad. My (maybe wrong) theory is, the XL2 has this cogging problem because it runs firmwares 1.3x and never got the 1.45 firmware like the Mamba Monsters.

Advantage of the Mamba Monster is that it's small and light compared to the XL and the cooling on it can be easily improved by just taking it out of the case and using a proper fan. My Monsters always stay cool even with a 1717 geared for 100mph in summer.

Thanks. May have to make the switch permanent. The sled weighs in about 5lbs under the limit and the motor is 2150kv I think.
