HB D8T Tessmann BL Edition
Hi Guys,
today I would like to show you my Track-Car. I always want a E-Truggy but It was to expensive for me So I bought a Buggy. Last year I got a very good Deal for a DNX408T. It was my first Truggy and my first Nitro Car too and I learned a lot. At this time I had 3 car's and this is one to much for me so I sold the Nitro. When I saw the D8T Tessmann the first time I need this Beast. I sold my Buggy and bought it. This was one of my best decisions! This Car is very durable but it is so nice to drive. He takes corners like a Buggy and I'm never drive a Truggy with such a good driving style. I think it is enough text rigth now. So here are some Specs and Pictures: D8T Tessmann with Rc-Monster or Tekno Rc Conversion Rc-Monster rear Shocktower with V2 Wingmount Tekin T8 2000kv Truggy Hobbywing Xerun 150A Futaba S9353HV http://abload.de/thumb/img_017492ri0.jpg http://abload.de/thumb/img_0178h6ptm.jpg http://abload.de/thumb/img_0188mdr5e.jpg http://abload.de/thumb/img_0186dhr6s.jpg http://abload.de/thumb/img_0187j5qkq.jpg http://abload.de/thumb/img_0191mvo5v.jpg http://abload.de/thumb/img_0199u5rdh.jpg http://abload.de/thumb/img_0198z5qd6.jpg I will Change the ESC wires. They are way to long but I need a new Switch too. This Truggy is so nimble in corners and you can control it so nice in the Air. It just do always fun! I hope you like it. |
The original D8T was impressive, especially considering the price, but the Tessman edition improved where it lacked(suspension mostly, as it initially came with short shocks). Very stable, predictable and easy to drive fast - great truck, Lars!

Looks great!
But why do you want to use a switch? They are known to break, and if a rock hits it when you drive it can turn the ESC off. I like to use the battery plug as a "switch", then I can not forget to turn the car off either :) |
Hi,
I use this ESC now 3 years and it is very solid. I never had a problem with the switch. It was a mistake when I broke the switch. I put in the ESC and had no wheels on the Truck. The Switch came under the chassis while I was working on it and then I broke it. May Bad! This ESC has a inbuild Set-Up Button at the On/Off Switch. A new Switch cost 6€ so it isn't so expensive. |
Ah, most of the issue's with switches are with Castle I think, I did not think about the mode button on your switch, sorry.
6 euro is not bad indeed, I thought it would be hard to find. |
Hi,
Yes ruudxd you are rigth. I got the Switch for 4,50€. That was a super Price. It was very easy to Chance it. When I opend my esc I saw my headsink was lose. So I put out the Thermal Compund Pad and use new Thermal Compund Paste. I think it will work much better now. |
Hello Guys,
I got my new Switch and I made a small Mod at my ESC. I made some pictures. http://abload.de/thumb/imagen3kpo.jpeg http://abload.de/thumb/imageccsvj.jpeg http://abload.de/thumb/imagev7u5b.jpeg http://abload.de/thumb/imageglua4.jpeg http://abload.de/thumb/imagesfzf5.jpeg http://www.abload.de/thumb/mobile.0j0sca.jpghttp://www.abload.de/thumb/mobile.17wqrn.jpghttp://www.abload.de/thumb/mobile.20wjcs.jpg There was a lot of dirt on the Heatpad and Fets. I think now it will be much better. |
Is that thermal paste? Don't run it like that, thermal paste is not meant for such large gaps. Get a quality heatpad with the right thickness and compressibility.
|
Hi,
Yes it is thermal paste. Why not? It is thinner than a Pad. It is only 0.5mm thick over the Fets. The is nothing important between them. So I can't see you Point. Maybe you Can explain it? |
Sorry somehow overlooked your reply.
The problem is that themal paste cannot really fill larger gaps. Most likely, the heat spreaders on the FETs are not all exactly the same height. |
Ah Ok that is you point. I check this befor I put on the thermal paste and I think it was ok. Maybe not perfect but I think now it is better then befor. I will test it. If it burns then I know why. :)

I like it! I had a D8t back a few years ago and the Tessmann has me drooling again. The D8t is more durable than an Kyosho ST-RR. My ST-RR was constantly breaking arms. I used the buggy front shock tower and longer 112mm shocks and it was wonderful, both bashing and on the track.
Here's a picture right after it was built. http://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3812/11...8eed579e_b.jpg |
Here's a pic next to the MP9e.... which is also fragile.

Hi,
nice Truck too. Yes know this Shock Mod for the old D8T. The Tessmann Truck had 112mm in front too. They Support the front a lot. You Can feel this at every landing. |
Yep - D8T is a great truck - I made custom towers back in the day - ran rear shocks on the front and Jammin' rear shocks out back. The thing gave up almost nothing to my XRay on the track for half the price.
