LiPo Question
Hi all, I have a 8XL and a 9920 and I would like to know if two 3S2P 11.1V LiPo's wired in series would be to much for my t-maxx or not??
Thanks |
I would run pretty hot. I would shoot for more like 5S lipo. If you really want to run 6S lipo, a 9 or 10XL would be awesome.
Thanks Squee, What LiPo would be the same as 16 cells? I have been told that 5s is the same as 14 cells and 6s is the same as 18 cells. Is there a way to get LiPo's that equal 16 cells?
Actually, 4S is more like 14 cells and 6S is like 20ish. 5S is somewhere inbetween.
WEll 16x 1.2 volts = 19.2 volts. 5 x 3.7volts = 18.5
IF you happy with the 16 cells speed run time and temp of motor. I would run a 5s system. You should see some performance gain. Lighter weight and more consistant voltage from lipo. |
It's about the weight/power ratio. and depending on the punch the lipo's can deliver.
5S would be nice for the 7XL |
Thanks for the info guys.:027: I believe with the weight reduction the 5s system will be all I need (for now) I am running a 16/51 right now with no heat issues. With the lipo's and 18/51 things should get interesting :004: :043:
Try the 16 51 gearing first. You may see a speed increase for the lipo holding better voltage under load.

What upgrades do you have on your maxx? stock diffs with the tupperware shafts wouldn't last too long..
He has the cvds rene. dooley has a thread on his some where around here. I remember it well.
And aluminum diffs? cups?
I believe he has hybrids.
Those will survive the torture..
He has a thread rene. I think corey is right on the hybirds. Mooley did it up right. Asked some question in the process. Now he the proud owner of a kick butt maxx.
yeah i believe he made it out of all flm parts. one nice truck
