It depends on if your looking for runtime or speed. How long do you need to run?

toby 06.21.2006 05:43 PM

a tad of both. i want 30 minute run times minimum

squeeforever 06.21.2006 05:44 PM

I would say 8000mah 6S lipo would be awesome. And probably over an hour runtime.

OMFG. what kind of speed should i be getting? and exactlly what motor should i get ( cannot spend alot on my motor)

toby 06.21.2006 06:44 PM

also how long do lipos last. if i charge and discharge and all of that. what should be the life on these?

squeeforever 06.21.2006 07:00 PM

I would say 55+ on 6S lipo with the 10XL. It really depends on exactly how well you take care of them. BTW, you don't discharge LiPo's like NiCad.

toby 06.21.2006 07:30 PM

if i followed by the book instructions on how to take care of them?

squeeforever 06.21.2006 09:39 PM

It would depend on MANY things. How fast you charge then, how often you balance them, ect. And the biggest....the QUALITY of the cells. Theres really no telling. However, I would say, a couple hundred +

what batteries should i purchase than. from what company and all of that?

neweuser 06.28.2006 02:49 PM

Is that 6s2p in series? or just one 6s? Just curious...

squeeforever 06.28.2006 05:14 PM

I would recommend 2 3S2P in series.

do i need to wire them myself? i am not good with that kind of stuff. only soldering plugs lol!

neweuser 06.29.2006 09:49 AM

Actually, if you can solder plugs, wires are easier, just make sure you tin them before soldering together. someone here should be able to direct you to a wiring diagram....if your talking about batt packs, you should be able to choose preassembled packs or loose cells....

neweuser 06.29.2006 02:53 PM

Ok, is this the 3s2p that would work? 11.1 volts 159.99? http://www.maxamps.com/index.html?la...d=38892.783403 Is this the price for two packs?

Obviously, i would need a new controller because i run the 9920, like maybe 12020?
