running a little hot

It has been a while since I've had a question. I got the truck all set up and then the rain season started, now it is over!

Set Up - mostly stock E-Maxx. 12020/8xl, 18T, 51T ofna on strobe, Mikes heat sink on motor, MIP CVD, stock tires, rest is stock, 12 cell IB3800

Initial set up was on a 20T pinion. Temps on controler upper 140's, on motor upper 130. I went to an 18 tooth and same temps.

Do I need to go with a 16T? I put some pic of the truck in here. I could shave about 2.5 iches on one side and about 1 onch off the other from the lines going to the batteries, 2 inches off the jumper and about 2 inches going to the motor. If I could avoid putting a fan on the controller, it would be nice.

What do you all think? Would trimming all the lines make a difference?

Your temps seem fine.
