orion lipos worth it?
are the team orion lipos worth it the 4800mah ones in a emaxx? thinking of buying them...
|
There are better, less expensive packs, but those are great packs.
|
I just picked up the Peak version today. They're the same packs with a CG sticker. I have a Quark still in the box too. They're for a G-Maxx, but will eventually be transferred to a G2R. Which motor should I order? Or is that a Pre Sales question?
|
What is your plan with the truck for the motor?
You goingto run 2 orion packs for 4s lipo I assume. Not sure what quark you have either. Is it bashing racing or both. |

Noone else makes a lipo pack that fits those requirements. If you do NOT require the plastic case AND do not require the dimensions to match a 6-cell nimh stick pack, then there are quite a few choices that are the same or better than the Orion/Peak lipos, at (generally) lower prices. Those include the Apache and MaxAmps packs for sale here at RC-Monster. |
hey guys just reporting back I bought two lipo packs used for a month the guy claimed he took care of them and charged them and not let them get too low with his duratrax ice charger...anyways cant wait to get it into my emaxx.....thanks for the replies...will report back..once I can afford everything in 3 weeks or so im going slowly at this..FYI its going in this truck with the HV-maxx....Oh yes is there anything else I need I heard a cut off voltage thingy?

You need a low voltage cutoff (lvc) to make sure that you don't run the batts to low when they dump. Unless you can program your ESC for the cut off.
|
The HV doesn't have one built in, so a external is your only choice.
|
Yes, they are very nice.
I saw a movie of a 4S setup on rc-pics and i was impressed with their power. |
anyone know where I can buy a low voltage cut off thingy? I almost got it planned out now....cant wait to get all items....
