OPTO mod for quark

i'm assuming that all it requires is wiring in my ubec. i want to make sure so it won't be going back to the manufacturer like my bk! thanks, tally.

Are you asking how to wire up a ubec to the Quark and disable the ESC BEC?

tallyram 07.29.2006 08:29 PM

yes. the way the instructions word it makes it seem like you just wire in the ubec, and that disables the esc bec. help!

to disable the bec pull out the red wire in the reciever wire on the quark. thats all you have to do if i remeber correctly...

You right cemetry gates. That is the only way I know of with out going in.
Don't worry tally. If you send it back it is alot faster than bk. 2 weeks I had another one and rolling.

so just pull the red receiver wire out of the receiver plug and snip it off, done? should i snip it off all the way against the esc body?

You don't need to remove the red wire. You can just tape it (still intact) to the other wires it's next to. That way if you ever use 6-10 cells, you can use the BEC.

I just unclipped it from the connector and heat shrunk it up a ways...
