Ok in 90% sure my ESC is dead but just post what happening for some confimation before i start hitting it with a hammer its a 2099 it was driving round the track and it stopped dead :032: upon closer inspection the pinion jusent turn when you squeze the trigger to about half throttle it bleeps in like a pattern bleep bleep bleep BLEEP or something like that if you go full throttle th pinion jerks vilontley but dosent turn the when its unpluged the pinion spins freeley so the motor isnt jammed any body think of anything i could try before i order a new ESC?

i think it was the 20th of july 5005 i brought it wich puts it just out of warenty :( does any1 now if BK do repairs and how much hey cost before i go for a quark with built in lipo cut off

squeeforever 08.22.2006 06:20 PM

BK does repairs as well as Mike, but I would get a Quark. Mike told me BK has been swamped and lately has taken 6 months for some things...

Monkey 08.22.2006 06:28 PM

Mike does repairs you say does he just organise the repair for you with BK or rapir them him self?

also whats it cost or does it depend on the problem

thanks for the info by the way

Hi Sean,

My old one did the same after it popped, you just can't program the damn thing and resulted in the same problems to you. Don't bother wasting your time trying to get it fixed, just go Quark or MGM.

Mike doesn't repair them, he just sends it to BK, it takes a while, and costs nearly as much as a new one after postage/vat/tax/time/repair etc.

Did you make sure nothing was bound up in the drive line first?

Mike DOES repair them. Just depends on the problem. It its something very serious, he will send it to BK though. He examines it and tries to fix it first though...

Ok so why did no one state to obvious to me should nowid neve check call you selfs experts *shakes head* lay thinking about it this morning jerking vilontley but spins freely with no power if it wasnt broke the locical explanation would be only 2 sets of windings are getting power sure anough a tug at the motor wires and one had come unsoldered

thanks for the help though almost disapointed i was coming around to the idea of a nice new quark ESC lol

HotnCold 08.23.2006 07:02 AM

Its good that you figured out the problem.. Im sure your going to make sure that the motor is soldered better next time.... Also support the wires if you can - all the moving will eventually break the insulation off the wires and thats not a good thing to happen....

neweuser 08.23.2006 09:32 AM

It's good that you figured out the problem. And a Quark would still be a good option for your furture plans if your running lipo. It has a built in cut off

Monkey 08.23.2006 12:53 PM

yea irun them with a lisaver at the minute but then ive failed to used it till they are dead yet lol

neweuser 08.23.2006 12:55 PM

LOL, never run them dead! GO Qaurk!
