The fastest BL
Thought this was interesting. Enjoy
http://deathblossom.blogspot.com/200...60-mph_04.html |
that's awesome...but i would hate to hit a small pebble at that speed..that would real be a bummer....
yeah, i saw an RC18T that was pretty fast with a mamba, and he hit a gaurd rail...all i saw were pieces fly everywhere!
I saw a video on one to. It went air born from the speed and wind. Not sure type of car. Crazy jr hooked me up with link. He landed back on wheels.
It was Tony Phalen's rc18t with what looked like a wedge body. one18th.com is offline right now, but when it gets back on i'll post the vid here
He was using a NEU 1509-2Y motor & 8S lipo
Yeah, Neu is up the task.. Great..!
I think I know what I'm getting before my Revo project! LOL
flightpower lipo's? :p
No silly, i wish! But have been contemplating on which mini to get for a bl project, but would like 4 wheel drive for the handling. I was looking at the mini losi T, then LST, but i think the RC18T would be better. I would just like to find a "how to" and what to expect for one...

Getting back to the original question in this thread about the fastest BL setup... I was wondering does it get to a point where you have too much speed to be practical? Even now, I have trouble controlling my SoldierMaxx with just a Feigao 9L and a Quark 80B at 14.4V Lipo (and some outlaw 20/66 gearing). I ran it into a street light pole last night and broke/bent two shocks (over estimated my night time depth perception). I can't imagine what a 16 to 20 cell (1.2 x 20= 24V) would be like....especially with a Quark Monster 125!!!
I can only speak for a mini-t vs RC18t. The rc18t outperforms the mini-t in stability. especially on higher speeds. It handles quite good
here is a movie of the rc18, with a mamba 8K on 6 cells GP1100's.. |
