The Capt's Brushless Lst

I finally got my LST converted using the FINE DESIGN conversion. It was pretty easy (A little expensive but I thought it was worth it and so did the MISSUS no more noise in the yard LOL)) and the system mounted right up (with a little dremeling). I was always good at nitro but I'm really leaning towards brushless now. This thing is Just as powerful if not more than with my Surefire Racersedge 32 or Lrp 28 Spec 3. And the convenience is just undeniable. Here are some pics of the setup. And a short video. It is a little boring just some high speed runs and some light bashing in my yard. The crash at the end is worth it. Nothing broke LOL. I like the way the power system lifts the front wheels up when it shifts into second like a shot of NOS.:027:

4s2p 3700 LIPO

Please let me know of some better setups for down the road as I have been into nitro for the last 3yrs and could use the help. Thanks Mike for all your help also in helping me convert My buddies Savage.

Hey man, sweet LST! Looks very clean and well done!

Nice LST.

I would not twist that controller wires like that. Shorten them, or route them different.

what wind of motor is that?

You sure it is a 4S2P pack, and not a 4S pack? Looks too small to be a 7400 pack.

cart213 09.15.2006 03:47 PM

It's a 3700 pack. Look at the label.

I've seen that..

but this was what was confusing me;
4s2p 3700 LIPO

It looks like a 2s2p to me, mine is that size 8000mah, well approximately anyways, can't tell from the pics that well.

I don't think so......

It has got 4 balancer leads and a monstertruck doesn't run on 2S that well...

I went by size not the taps.....out to get me again!

Sorry for the bad Info. You can tell I am new at this. I just looked it up 4s pack 3700mah.

Firefox Lipoly
4S - 7.4
3700 mah
20c rated

The New Fine Design is 18 oz lighter then 12 cells nimh pack with twice the Punch.

E Maxx Guys, 1 14.8Volt/4S pack is Fine, But If Balance. is needed yuo could buy 2 4S packs and wire them in parallel for 7400mah!!!!! and 150 amps continuous amp draw! Or you could buy 2 2S packs and run them in series at 3700mah BUT loose over 1/2 the weight of a Nimh setup!

* 14.8volts
* 3700 mah
* 75 amp Continuous drain That Double what a Nimi pack can give up.
* Weight is 14oz.
* 6''long 1-3/4'' wide 1-1/8'' Tall.

Fine Design also offers the NEW Lipo cells fully factory water sealed for an additional $4.00

In any case. it's nice! LOL, it's ok, my info is always off! (apparently) :)

Serum 09.15.2006 04:36 PM

Yes, and that's exactly my goal. To get you sharp and post-accurate.

Not advertising for fine-design, right? LOL

maxamps packs are 4000mah, cheaper, deliver the same power (about 35 percent cheaper than the cf packs!!) and available from our very own Mike!

A 4S 2P pack would be my choice for such a heavy truck. What low votlage cut-off are you using?

BrianG 09.15.2006 04:42 PM

Nice conversion!

Quick question: Is that the stock Nitro clutchbell on the motor? If so, what kind of a adaptor did you use to hook it to the motor?

coolhandcountry 09.15.2006 04:42 PM

Welcome to the forum Captainbolic.
I like the lst. I been debating on geting me one.
It is nice to see you bashing it some.

Serum 09.15.2006 04:43 PM

Yeah, was it something that was pressed onto the clutch-bell or did it come seperated from it?
